Joan Pan was former Vice President of APJ Compliance Initiatives for Hewlett Packard Enterprise responsible for compliance projects in the region. Before this, Joan was the Senior Vice President and Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer of H3C Technologies Co., Ltd. Previously, Joan was the Vice President of the HP Networking Compliance Office. In this role, Joan was responsible for the HP Networking’s compliance with US and Chinese trade laws and regulations, anti-corruption and social responsibility requirements.

Before joining HP, Joan was the Vice President of Global Trade Compliance at Avnet, Inc. Joan also led and established the global trade compliance program for Ricoh US and Merck & Co., Inc., and led both companies into US Customs’ Importer Self-Assessment program. Joan is a highly qualified compliant professional with extensive internal control skills. Joan also has extensive experience in global logistics, distribution, procurement, OEM customer management and other supply chain functions.

Joan completed the Ph.D program from China University of Political Science and Law, holds a master’s degree in English from College at New Paltz, SUNY and an MBA from Baruch College, CUNY. She is a US licensed Customs broker, a certified US Export Compliance Officer by IIEI and was awarded a Six Sigma Black Belt by Merck & Co., Inc. Her book of Compliance Management – Work notes of a Chief Compliance Officer was very well received after it was published by a prominent publish in China at the beginning of 2024.
