Craig Phildius

Craig is currently with ECS Advisors in London, UK. At the end of 2023, Craig retired from the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), U.S. Department of Commerce, as the Regional Export Control Officer (ECO) assigned to the BIS Post in Istanbul, Turkey. Prior to serving in Turkey, Craig was a Special Agent with the Office of Export Enforcement (OEE) assigned to the Los Angeles Field Office, but co-located with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in San Diego, CA. In January 2014, after serving two years as a Special Agent assigned in the Los Angeles Field Office, Craig was selected to be the Regional Export Control Officer (ECO) in Dubai, UAE and served two years at the U.S. Consulate.

In August 2000, Craig began his federal law enforcement career as a Special Agent with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and spent twelve years in the New York Field Division. 

In June 1995, Craig was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps and completed six years of active service. Craig achieved the rank of Captain and was awarded the National Defense Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal, and The Sea Service Deployment Medal. Craig holds an M.B.A. from The University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from The University of Delaware.
