Brenda Barnard is a former compliance and trade executive and brings over four decades of international trade and customs compliance experience to her consulting work with ECSA.  Brenda is a Licensed Customs Broker, Certified US Export Compliance Officer® (CUSECO), and Certified Customs Specialist. She has served as an Internal ISO 9001 Auditor and Corporate Security Coordinator-Transportation Security Administration (TSA) with leading global logistics service providers.

Her expertise spans industries including nuclear, aerospace, defense and security, frequency and time, semiconductor, and additive manufacturing sectors.  Customizing to her client needs, she leads the design, development, and execution of global trade compliance policies and procedures and system and process enhancements.  Her last 15 years have been centered in leadership roles for corporate compliance, including navigating through the complexities of going public, mergers and acquisitions, and international expansion.

Brenda maintains an active membership in key professional associations, including the International Sanctions and Export Control Society (ISECS), International Compliance Professionals Association (ICPA), International Import-Export Institute (IIEI), and National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA).
